The best way to prevent Legionella, while the CDC states if you do everything 100% correct, you still have a 10% chance of getting it. So, what we tell all of our clients, if you put a very good Water Management Plan in place and adhere to it and do the steps that it is actually designed to help prevent the disease.

That is the biggest thing that you can do to prevent the disease.

So in addition to having and following your Water Management Plan and utilizing that technology, it’s really important to understand your building and the current state of things. Has there been a water main break? Is your occupancy different? Has it changed over time? The changing seasons also impact your water management plan and the current condition of your building. So there are things to be aware of and be vigilant of as you are operating your facility every day.
