Where is Legionella Found?

Legionella is found in many different devices within a potable water system, as well as a non-potable water system. So speaking about the potable domestic water system, we find it in showers, sinks, ice machines are a huge risk factor and a place where we find it a lot, unoccupied rooms, whether it’s a hotel, senior living facility, whatever it is. But think of the common outlets that you have in a water system and that’s where we find it. Also, in cooling towers and different open systems we find Legionella, as well. Basically, where there’s water and you have stagnation, temperature issues, nutrients in the soil, or nutrients in the water, that’s really where we find it.
